To actively promote Youth activity in the area
To set up new facilities and activities for the young
To liase with other organisations within the community to work on youth related ideas in the area 
To give opinion on behalf of the young when consulted on issues
To canvass youth opinion when required
To gather and update information on youth activity and collate into a Youth Activities Index
To work with other youth organisations where required
To manage the financial and staffing issues related to the operation of the Youth Council
To customise terms of reference and standing orders where required
To co-ordinate future elections
